the aim

Information Management Integration (IMI) specialise in the deployment of hardware. 

IMI required a solution to track and report on items in real time that were processed during a hardware deployment. The solution had to cater for the processing users who were located at different physical sites and may or may not have internet connectivity. They required running reports to compare the initial data on record against the actual results after the deployment was completed.

The solution consists of a web application, web services and a native windows application that uses:
  • Microsoft .NET Framework

  • ASP.NET MVC Framework
  • Windows Communication Foundation (WCF)
  • Entity Framework
  • Microsoft Windows 7
  • Click once deployment
  • WinForms application
  • RFID
The solution allowed site engineers to process and record hardware information while at a large number of different physical sites. Those who had internet connectivity could sync and retrieve data against the database and those who did not have connectivity were able to synch their data once connected. IMI were able to analyse and report on the processing data in real time.
